A Halo spinoff could be in the works at 343 Studios based on a job posting on Microsoft career page. According to the post, 343 Industries is looking for a “Senior Producer to work with our Core Services team to help develop a new project in the Halo universe. This is your chance to work on one of the most exciting and creative intellectual properties in the industry with one of the industry’s most talented teams.”
The key words have to be “new project” in the Halo universe.

Ever since the E3 teaser back in 2019, information on Halo Infinite has been slowed to a trickle, and with the coronavirus sweeping across the globe, delays were bound to happen. As of now, Halo Infinite is still set for Holiday 2020 launch alongside the Xbox Series X. It would be devastating for Microsoft if the console failed to launch without the most popular Xbox title ever. At least rumors are pointing toward the game having HDR capabilities which should make everyone happy.
But it seems 343 Studios isn’t just stopping with Halo Infinite as a new spinoff title seems to clearly be in the works. We’ve seen the likes of ODST and Halo Wars, but if it’s “new,” fans should expect a brand new genre.
343 Studios is working on something new, and I’m excited to see the finished product.
