A Titanfall weapon has been spotted in one of Apex Legends‘ Dev Streams recently hinting at a possible new weapon that old fans will be happy to see.

Respawn Entertainment has been holding Dev Streams to show their community what they’re working on, explain new items or Legends, and generally open a line of communication between the developers and the players.

Recently, during the same Dev Stream, fans noticed a UFO that might indicate a new area of the map to come. This time, fans noticed during the stream that a dummy was holding a weapon not yet seen in Apex Legends. The weapon, though, was actually the Volt—an SMG from Titanfall.

Respawn Entertainment has added items to the game’s files before and not implemented them into the full game, as the developer did the same thing with Legends, so players need to be skeptical before getting their hopes up that the weapon will enter the game shortly.

If it does make it into the game, it will most likely be an energy ammo based sub-machine gun just as it was in Titanfall, but it wouldn’t be surprising if Respawn switched even that up entirely.
